The (dis)Ability staff and faculty caucus of Dalhousie University is a caucus offering voice to access and inclusion matters within the institution, and support to (dis)Abled staff and faculty. Anyone who self-identifies as living with a (dis)Ability, be it physical, sensory, mental, developmental &/or cognitive is welcome to join. Ā
Sometimes we donāt identify as living with a (dis)Ability because we think our situation is not that bad or there are people more disadvantaged than us, but if you are living with chronic pain, have chronic or episodic health conditions, or encounter barriers to access, then we would love to have you join the caucus. Letās share our experiences and bring awareness to ablism so that Dalhousie can become a more inclusive institution. Ā
We have monthly ābusinessā meetings, and weekly casual drop-ins.Ā Please join us during our first business meeting onĀ September 28th, from 4-5:30 pm.
Contact one of the three co-chairs to be added to the (dis)Ability Caucus Team, and meetings invites, or if you have any questions about the Caucus:
