(1) POSITION:聽聽聽聽 Lab Demonstrator (NUMT 1000, Fundamentals of Nuclear Medicine)
鈥婩all (September-December 2020) 鈥� 6 sessions @ 2 hours synchronous online lab, 1 hour prep, 1 hour asynchronous support聽 聽
鈥嬧€婽uesdays or Thursdays (To be negotiated):聽 1730-1930: Brightspace Collaborate
鈥嬧€婽otal of 24 hrs

PAY RATE: $20 per hour

WORK ASSIGNMENT: Visual demonstration of set-up/preparation of equipment, acquisition, and processing for the online learning experience. Engage, stimulate, challenge and monitor student participation in a nuclear medicine online lab setting. Demonstrate the lab exercise in a safe and effective manner, including clean-up of equipment/site after the learning experience. Facilitate discussion on theory and practical applications of lab content. Post relevant images or information on course site in a timely manner and participate in post lab discussion board. Communication with professor of record on student progress and lab expectations/outcomes.

Lab topics: Operation of radiation detectors, uptake probe spectrum and energy resolution, well counter geometry and sensitivity. Gamma cameras to include: collimator resolution and sensitivity, acquisition and analysis of planar and SPECT imaging as well as routine quality control procedures.

REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION: Relevant education and experience in nuclear medicine technology.聽 Interpersonal skills and timely communication required for interactions with students and faculty.聽 Expertise of fundamental instrumentation subject matter essential. Current provincial professional licensing and CAMRT membership required. Undergraduate or master's degree preferred. Previous teaching experience is desirable.

(2) POSITION:聽聽聽 Lab Demonstrator (NUMT 1010, Nuclear Medicine Instrumentation I)

鈥嬧€嬧€嬧€嬧€嬧€嬧€嬧€婩all (September-December 2020), 6 sessions @ 2 hours synchronous online lab, 1 hour prep, 1 hour asynchronous support . 鈥婱onday and Wednesdays Thursdays (To be negotiated): 聽
1600-1800: 鈥嬧€婤rightspace Collaborate
鈥嬧€婽otal of 24 hrs

鈥婸AY RATE: $20 per hour 聽

Lab topics: SPECT phantom data acquisition and processing, image data manipulation, reconstruction methods, application of filtering and motion correction, quality control assessment of phantom images and SPECT center of rotation.
