A paper titled “Food Protein-Derived Bioactive Peptides: Production, Processing, and Potential Health Benefits” co-authored by Dr. Chibuike Udenigwe, Department of Environmental Sciences has received the 2015 Tanner Award for the Most Cited Paper published in 2012 in Journal of Food Science.
Named after American food scientist and Journal of Food Science (formerly Food Research) founder Fred Wilber Tanner (1888-1957), the award recognizes the most cited papers published in Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) Scientific Journals.
The winning paper was selected out of 534 articles and editorials published that year. Details of the award can be found at
